Normain, called from your own systems
The API runs the same analysis as the app, from code you control. Send in a set of documents, ask what you need to know, and get back answers your software can act on, each one tied to the page it came from.
How it works
Create a data room
A private space for one matter, one client or one review. It belongs to your organisation and nothing outside it can see in.
Upload your documents
Up to 100 files in a call and 110 MB per file, in the same formats the app reads. Each file reports its own status while it is indexed.
Ask in plain language
A question runs across every document in the room. Send a JSON Schema with it and the answer comes back in exactly that shape.
Collect a sourced answer
Poll for the result. It arrives with a citation for every claim, the reasoning behind it and a confidence level.
Answers in the shape you need
Describe the answer with a JSON Schema and it comes back as data, with the citations listed beside it, so it can go straight into a register, a ticket or a report.

- Upload PDFs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV, Outlook emails, images and video, along with text, Markdown and JSON
- Ask free-text questions of up to 10,000 characters across every file in a room
- Get answers as text with inline citations, or as JSON that follows your own schema
- Trace each citation to the file and the page, slide or worksheet it came from
- See what a single question, or a whole data room, has cost in credits
Access and keys
The API is part of the Enterprise plan. An organisation owner creates keys under Settings, Organisation, API keys, with an expiry of 30 days, 90 days, a year or none, and can revoke one at any time. A key acts for your organisation and sees only its data rooms.
Questions draw on the same credits as the app, and the full reference for every endpoint opens from the API keys page once you have access.
